Green Tea and Caffeine
This tea has smaller amounts of caffeine than
other caffeinated drinks. In several cups of green tea, up to six, are the same
amount of caffeine as in one cup of coffee. This also depends on how long you
let it steep and how many times you use the same tea bag. If you don’t want to
get it at all try choose a decaffeinated green tea.
I’m trying not to have the green tea before bed
because I can’t fall asleep easily. But that cannot be applied for everyone as somebody are used to have a cup of coffee in the evening.
Green Tea and Cold
The antioxidants contained in this drink can help
you get better from cold more quickly. They help to support the immune system.
And other nice fact is that drinking daily this tea will help you avoid colds,
so include it into your daily routine. To improve this effects add a piece of
lemon or teaspoon of honey.
Green Tea and Stains on your Teeth
Yes, this tea does stain your teeth, but not as
much as some other teas. After having a cup of tea it is good idea to brush
them. I’m used to add a little bit lemon or lemon juice in the tea. The lemon
acid will lighten the tea and gives the fresher taste. Otherwise many health
benefits outweigh this drawback.
Green Tea and Energy
The energetic effects are likely due to the
amounts of antioxidants and caffeine. The low levels of antioxidants can cause
tiredness while free radicals have a field-day in your body. So try to maintain
them topped up.
Green Tea and Pregnancy
There are no confirmed benefits or damage for baby
while drinking green tea during pregnancy. Because of caffeine it may be better
to stop and wait until baby’s born or drink small quantities. It may be a safer
bet to drink it while you are breastfeeding. But do this in moderation or ask
your doctor.
Green Tea and Acne
It is still unclear if green tea helps to treat
acne. But it is known that this drink won’t make any damages as well. So use it
and you will see not even the beneficial effect on acne but also other health
benefits.
Green Tea and Laxative and Diuretic Effects
It is still unknown for laxative properties but it
is already known about the diuretic effect of green tea. It proceeds to flush
the body of excess fluid. I don’t know it is only belief or whatever but
actually my digestion improved and I noticed minor laxative effects.
